World Missions International Development

The Salvation Army is one of the largest social services agencies in the world. Serving in more than 125 countries around the globe, it seeks to alleviate poverty and suffering through effective and sustainable programs. The Salvation Army’s World Missions Office has been involved in emergency and development projects for over sixty years. As we work alongside colleagues in the developing world, we strive to fund projects that are holistic in nature, responding to a variety of needs within unique communities as we work toward sustainable growth and development.

Our key initiatives internationally are Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Livelihood Development, Elderly and Vulnerable Adults, and Disaster Relief and Recovery. Through the support of our generous donors, we are able to invest in the well-being of some of the world’s most vulnerable people.
