Dear friends,

We greet you in the name of the Lord and continue to count it a privilege to be “partners in the gospel” with you (see Philippians 1:3-5).

With the conclusion of 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture quickly approaching, we want to extend a word of appreciation for your commitment to this journey. In our travels across the territory, many have shared their experiences with us, and we have been encouraged by them. More than a thousand people have been sharing in the praises, petitions and intercessory prayers of 100 ministry units from across Canada and Bermuda. Together we have taken them to the throne of grace in prayer and listened carefully for God’s voice as we have read his Word.

As we continue this journey of prayer and shared Scripture, we invite you to communicate your thoughts and reflections on what you have learned so far by answering three questions. Your feedback will be invaluable as we discern together what God has in store for our territory. We believe he will do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Thank you for prayerfully considering your responses as you reflect on what you have read, heard and prayed about in these days.

May God bless you. May God bless his Army. May God bless Canada and Bermuda and bring blessing to the nations through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders, Canada and Bermuda

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
Kelowna Community Church, Kelowna, B.C.

When distributing Christmas hampers this past year, we were privileged to pray with more than 600 individuals. What a blessing this was to our staff and congregation. God continues to move through our community through those interactions at Christmas.

Pray for a longing to be in the Word and live the Word. Pray for all those who come through our doors at the church, thrift stores and our Community Life Centre (family services) to feel God’s presence and seek to know who God is.

Pray for our homeless population. There is a great increase in the need for shelter, especially in the winter months. Our shelters are always full. Pray that our community can come together and find solutions to the housing problem.

Shared Scripture

Mark 5:1-20

Do you believe in the existence of evil in the world today? Where have you seen or experienced it personally? How can this story help you deal with evil?
