Dear friends,

We greet you in the name of the Lord and continue to count it a privilege to be “partners in the gospel” with you (see Philippians 1:3-5).

With the conclusion of 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture quickly approaching, we want to extend a word of appreciation for your commitment to this journey. In our travels across the territory, many have shared their experiences with us, and we have been encouraged by them. More than a thousand people have been sharing in the praises, petitions and intercessory prayers of 100 ministry units from across Canada and Bermuda. Together we have taken them to the throne of grace in prayer and listened carefully for God’s voice as we have read his Word.

As we continue this journey of prayer and shared Scripture, we invite you to communicate your thoughts and reflections on what you have learned so far by answering three questions. Your feedback will be invaluable as we discern together what God has in store for our territory. We believe he will do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Thank you for prayerfully considering your responses as you reflect on what you have read, heard and prayed about in these days.

May God bless you. May God bless his Army. May God bless Canada and Bermuda and bring blessing to the nations through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders, Canada and Bermuda

Day 79–March 19, 2020

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
Winnipeg Correctional and Justice Services, Winnipeg, Man.

We praise God that several clients in our community service and federal work release programs have gone on to find paid employment, received parole and settled well in the community.

Pray that we continue to experience a growing number of referrals from our community partners, including the Restorative Justice Centre; and that we continue to see positive outcomes in our Choose to Change domestic violence addiction course resulting from our partnership with the Salvation Army Anchorage addiction program counsellors.

Pray that individuals involved with the broader justice and correctional systems continue to experience personal growth and positive change; and that government departments and non-governmental agencies continue to find new ways to collaborate in supporting these individuals.

Shared Scripture

Acts 16-20

The Holy Spirit led Paul and Barnabas in their journeys. Have you ever been conscious of the Spirit’s leading? In what ways does the Holy Spirit lead you?
