Dear friends,

We greet you in the name of the Lord and continue to count it a privilege to be “partners in the gospel” with you (see Philippians 1:3-5).

With the conclusion of 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture quickly approaching, we want to extend a word of appreciation for your commitment to this journey. In our travels across the territory, many have shared their experiences with us, and we have been encouraged by them. More than a thousand people have been sharing in the praises, petitions and intercessory prayers of 100 ministry units from across Canada and Bermuda. Together we have taken them to the throne of grace in prayer and listened carefully for God’s voice as we have read his Word.

As we continue this journey of prayer and shared Scripture, we invite you to communicate your thoughts and reflections on what you have learned so far by answering three questions. Your feedback will be invaluable as we discern together what God has in store for our territory. We believe he will do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20).

Thank you for prayerfully considering your responses as you reflect on what you have read, heard and prayed about in these days.

May God bless you. May God bless his Army. May God bless Canada and Bermuda and bring blessing to the nations through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders, Canada and Bermuda

Unceasing Prayer

Ministry Expression
The Salvation Army Wiseman Centre, St. John’s, N.L.

We praise God for the opportunity to support and minister to those individuals who are homeless, lonely and in poverty. We are also thankful for a community that continues to give generously to those in need.

Pray for the individuals we serve at the Wiseman Centre who are battling with addictions, mental health issues, poverty and homelessness. Pray that staff will exhibit patience, compassion and servitude as they support both participants and community on a daily basis.

The shelter continues to highlight that homelessness is a real issue and much is still required to ensure that no individual needs to spend a night out on the street. Pray for a strong sense of government and community awareness for action. We all have a part to play in breaking the vicious cycle that locks people into homelessness and poverty.
