The Santa Shuffle
Traditionally held on the first Saturday of December, the Santa Shuffle is a 5k Fun Run and 1K Elf Walk fit for all ages and skill levels. Funds raised from this event support The Salvation Army’s local initiatives that help Canadians in need.
Today, the Santa Shuffle is a national event with locations in 36 across Canada.
History of the Santa Shuffle
The Santa Shuffle started as a single race in Edmonton in 1990 when local Running Room members used their passion to raise funds to support The Salvation Army and those in need in their community.
Every year the race gained momentum, and, in 2001, the Shuffle became a national Salvation Army event.
