The Salvation Army - World Missions - Haiti Family Home

The Salvation Army Canada & Bermuda Territory is recognizing the disaster earthquake that hit Haiti January 12, 2010.  The 7.0 M earthquake caused catastrophic damage destroying complete cities including Port-au-Prince and Jamel.  The Presidential Palace and the National Assembly building were two of the most notable buildings to be destroyed.

The Salvation Army Canada & Bermuda Territory was there as soon as possible, responding to the needs of those affected.  In March 2012, The Salvation Army expanded its services in Haiti beginning a five year, $3.6 million Integrated Family Support Project.  The project had four main components; housing, vocational training, livelihood support and agricultural support.

The slideshow provided via our YouTube channel, saworldmissions, displays houses that have been built since this project has begun along with photo's of the recipients.
