I agree that the Army is a bit old-fashioned in some ways but as far as I know, at least in Chicago they do really, really good job and I really love my friends who are working there! Everything depends on the people!

I grew up Presbyterian and often stated that I would not, and I mean would not join the Salvation Army,
However I got the message from the Holy Father up stairs and here I am today, both my wife and me. I even wear the high neck tunic and would not change. I am now a fire dept chaplain and work for Holy Cross School as security. I do not like all the moving of officers as we get programs going and have to start all over.
Now may the peace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST and the GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BE WITH THE SALVATION ARMY

Great quiz! I am from Germany and missed some contents, but it became clear what it is about. I hope God's Spirit will continue to move The Salvation Army - each individual soldier as well as the whole army.

This quiz is excellent for examining ourselves... people need to realize the tongue in cheek questions and it should spark discussion in christian circles as well as within our own quiet time with God. Mind you I could get all self righteous and say.... God is my Judge!!! Who are you to tell me how good a christian I am!!! But really folks, let's stop worrying about how we are seen as a christian and focus on the poor, the hungry, the lame..... let's DO CHRISTIANITY!!!

Disappointed the book list didn't offer much variety. Was hoping for a Harry Potter (after sensing Fifty Shades of Grey wouldn't make the list)...

Oh dear ... Agree with a previous comment about the relevance of some of the questions to a wider scope of potential respondents. For example, although a retired bandsman with more than 40years of service, and a list of books I have never read ( but no opportunity to say so), the analysis welcomes me as 'soldier in training'. Oh well .....at least some respondents have been pleased with the quiz and their personal assessment.

I am 78 years old, been a senior soldier since I was 16, and it said I was a soldier in training. Well, most of the questions were irrelevant, made no sense to me. Most didn't apply. Sorry.

I agree with Mary.... I love the Army and all it stands for. I think we need to get back to God's Word... preach it... sing it... play it... love it. ... live it. We're The Army... I do love some of the contemporary songs... but I miss singing the song book songs... they speak to my heart.

As a 'young' 64 year old 'retired' officer (still working in retirement). I found the quiz far too insular.
Only directed at young people in Canada and Bermuda...and I live in the UK.
Sorry! Maybe it wasn't meant for people like me, although I have to say the analysis was quite accurate...amazing!

Try again, but open it wider.
God bless you all in our wonderful Army world.

This is stupid. Just shows how old fashioned and insular the army has become. Stop copying what the world does and try put a Christian swing on it. Get original and relevant. Grrrrrrr

The questions were not really relevant. In our corps, the adults get together to go to a different restaurant every Sunday. We don't have the ones mentioned! We have no Friday night activities. The heritage museum is hundreds of miles away. There hasn't been an open air meeting since I arrived at this corps!

All I can say is "Oh Love that wilt not let me go" Even thou I am a liberal Progressive Christian. There is room for all of us in this Army.
