The Canada and Bermuda Territory's editorial department is pleased to announce that Salvationist, Faith & Friends and Just for Kids will return to print in May, following a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are grateful for your continued support over these past two years as we have steadily grown our digital offerings, including the Salvationist podcast, a weekly e-newsletter and digital publications at Issuu.com/Salvationist," says Lt-Colonel John Murray, secretary for communications. "We believe the printed editions will work in partnership with these great resources to bring you the most up-to-date and relevant news from across the Canada and Bermuda Territory and the international Salvation Army."

Following consultation with territorial leadership, Salvationist and Faith & Friends print magazines will be issued bimonthly, for a total of six issues per year. Just for Kids will continue in its current weekly format. In the ensuing “non-print” months, additional digital material, such as feature articles, ministry profiles, podcasts and videos, will be posted on Salvationist.ca and our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube).

"Our goal is to inform, inspire and involve all Salvationists and friends of the Army in the important mission of Giving Hope Today," says Lt-Colonel Murray. "Thank you for your continued partnership with us as you again share printed copies of Salvationist as a means of keeping your people informed about The Salvation Army, Faith & Friends as an effective tool for evangelism, and Just for Kids as an engaging worksheet and take-home paper for use in your children’s ministries."

An unprecedented rise in the cost of paper, printing and shipping has forced us to make some changes as we return to print. As we reactivate our print orders, we are trying to make them as financially sustainable as possible for the long haul. For that reason, the annual per-copy chargeback to ministry units will remain unchanged. Please note that all orders will resume with pre-pandemic quantities. To make an adjustment to your order, contact circulation@salvationarmy.ca as soon as possible.
