Karen’s Story

Karen’s story might be like your story. You grew up in The Salvation Army and God’s call upon your life has been on your heart and in your head for a while. You’ve had some interesting experiences but you sense frustration is building if you don’t move ahead with answering God’s call. We would love to hear from you if that’s the case. Have a conversation with your corps officer to explore the possibility of Salvation Army officership.

Allan’s Story

Allan’s story highlights that some people are made to work with people. There is no greater satisfaction than working with people to bring hope, peace and joy into their lives. Salvation Army Officers have diverse work but the common theme is people. We serve people and help meet their spiritual, emotional and physical needs. Perhaps like Allan you are looking to spend the rest of your life ministering to people in the name of Jesus Christ. Contact your corps officer and find out how you can train to serve people in this way.

Nesan’s Story

Nesan’s story highlights the joy of answering God’s call. Perhaps you, like Nesan, like to listen to other people’s stories in order to help them become better people. The joy of service is hard to put into words, yet the evidence of it is obvious. Salvation Army Officership isn’t easy, but it is filled with the joy of seeing lives changed by the work of God in their lives. Like Nesan, you may feel that you want to spend the rest of your life in service of others in the name of Jesus Christ. If so, talk to your corps officer to explore this further.

Scott’s Story

Scott’s story demonstrates how even as children God is working in young lives. Maybe your story began as a young person. Perhaps someone invested in you in a manner that has helped you develop into a person God is calling to ministry as a Salvation Army Officer. Scott found that even though he enjoyed his work as a veterinarian he couldn’t deny that God was calling him into Salvation Army Officership. Answering that call means finding inner satisfaction and joy in obeying God’s deep desire for you. Speak to your corps officer about stepping out in obedience to God’s call.

Alex’s Story

Alex’s story is one of international proportions. From Scotland to South America God has been faithful Alex’s obedience. After obeying God’s call Alex found a life of adventure and service existed together. Your story might be just beginning to unfold but as Alex expresses it is full satisfaction and joy to be able to look back and have few regrets. Is God calling you to spend the rest of your life serving Him? It might be inside Canada or Bermuda or somewhere else in the world. The beginning of the adventure is found in obedience. Feel free to contact me for more information.
