The Public Affairs Office has responded to government policy proposals that affect our programs and the people we serve. These documents reflect one of The Salvation Army’s strategic priorities, championing Social Justice, to speak into policy areas with frontline experience and knowledge serving those who are vulnerable and marginalized.
There are four main advocacy issues identified to be of strategic importance to The Salvation Army:
- Poverty Reduction
- Anti-human trafficking
- Medical Assistance in Dying
In addition, the Public Affairs Office monitors emerging policy issues as they develop. For additional information on specific issues please contact your Divisional Secretary for Public Relations or the Public Affairs Office.
