The Public Affairs Office works in partnership with internal and external resources to promote the mission of The Salvation Army. 

The Public Affairs Office:

  • performs a "listening" function to obtain information about key government initiatives that impact the mission of The Salvation Army, the viability and sustainability of its programs, and the people and communities we serve
  • performs a "speaking" function through advocacy activities and acting as a Social Justice Champion in the Canada and Bermuda Territory
  • performs a "supporting" function for Divisional headquarters and Salvation Army ministries as they engage with public officials in the Canada and Bermuda Territory
