Joining the Conversation: A Salvation Army Mental Health Initiative

As the effects of the global pandemic continue to impact our world, personal lives, families and workplaces, the conversation around mental health is more vital than ever. At The Salvation Army, we want to remind you that you are not alone. We are committed to supporting you and equipping you with resources that reinforce positive mental health. We encourage you to care for your peers by engaging them in authentic conversations and actively listening with an open mind and heart.

Wednesday, January 26 is an important day in raising awareness around mental health. Bell is inviting all Canadians to participate in "Let’s Talk,” an initiative that seeks to end the stigma associated with mental illness and increase awareness about the important role mental health plays in our lives and the lives of those we love. The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory invites you to join this important conversation as we learn practical ways to support each other in the workplace.

Please watch the following video for an important message from Matthew Delaney from the Human Relations Department’s Healthy Workplace Team at territorial headquarters as he joins Jason Barr, Social Services, Addictions and Mental Health Consultant, and Captain Barb Stanley, Territorial Director of Pastoral Services:
