CELEBRATION OF CULTURE

The Celebration of Culture committee invites you to the upcoming Celebration of Culture 2026. In partnership with The Salvation Army and Indigenous Pathways, this annual event is an opportunity for all nations to gather and learn from Indigenous peoples as we join on the journey of reconciliation. , Living Knowledge: The Stories that Carry Us.

    Date: Aug 28 to 30, 2026

    Location: Pine Lake Camp, Alberta

We are excited to announce that this year's Celebration of Culture focuses on the theme, Living Knowledge: The Stories that Carry Us.

Come celebrate, learn and dance with us!

    Living Knowledge

This year's theme invites us to recognize that knowledge is not only something we learn, but something we live, share and carry with us every day. Rooted in culture, tradition and community, living knowledge is passed through stories, relationships and lived experiences. These stories shape who we are, guide how we care for one another and connect us across generations.

As we gather for the Celebration of Culture 2026, we honour the voices, teachings, and journeys that continue to move with us, reminding us that our stories are not just from the past—they are alive, evolving and leading us together.

    What to Expect

    • Opportunities to learn from Indigenous knowledge-keepers
    • Welcoming spaces to join in Indigenous ceremonies and traditions
    • Space to talk about reconciliation and right relations
