I have been composing music since I was a teenager who preferred writing my own music to practicing scales on the piano. For a number of years before going into Training College, I fronted a Christian rock band called Great Maker. Most recently, I have been writing songs for evangelism purposes to share the name of Jesus at open mic nights in the community. I contribute musically at the corps but in that setting, I am most interested in equipping saints for ministry.
He is for Me
In August 2025, while attending music camp at Camp Starrigan, I wrote several poems during my devotional time, including the lyrics of this song. I had been reflecting on the devastating fires that were ravaging our province. The best response I could think of was to remind myself and others that God is for us and provides for our needs. Because God gave His only Son, Jesus, to meet our need at Calvary, there is no limit to His love for us.
