Drama Ministry Resource
Drama captures imaginations, stirs emotions, and causes introspection; therefore, it can be used to enhance worship and support the mission of The Salvation Army. Mark 16:15 (MSG) calls us as Christians to “Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all.” That "Great Commission" is to reach people and open their hearts to God’s voice, and this is achieved using many methods of ministry - drama is one of them. “All the world’s a stage," and God himself, not the actor, receives the standing ovation for these performances.
This resource contains a variety of content that can be used by corps to support this type of ministry, whether you plan to produce a full-length musical, need a simple scene for a special occasion, or a creative way to present a theme. Inspired by scripture or taken from the Song Book, a series of video monologues is also available for download. We have also included a page with links to resources from other creative arts ministries around the Salvation Army world. With so much material available, there are many ways to increase your corps program offerings or add another element to Sunday worship, regardless of group size, age, or ability. Come back and visit this page often as offerings will grow based on the availability of content.
