I have always been interested in music for as long as I can remember. I think most people brought up in The Salvation Army cannot escape being immersed in music, practically from birth! I joined the YP band at my corps at the tender age of 8 and enjoyed playing the cornet. However, in my early teenage years, the guitar became my new instrument of choice. Today I am still passionate about the guitar (I own about 6!) and I enjoy playing in the worship group at my corps. Over the last few years, the ukulele has become a firm favourite of mine as well and so I also play in the corps folk group. My love of songwriting began several years ago and was a natural progression from my love of music and playing the guitar.

Holy Fire Fall

Holy Fire, Fall is very much a song based around Pentecost. I was inspired by that incredible moment when the Holy Spirit fell upon the disciples with mighty power, equipping them for the task ahead - to spread the message of Christ to all corners of the earth. It was also written in response to us as a church today, calling upon that same Holy Spirit to revive, equip, and empower us to spread the same good news of Jesus to our hurting and broken world.
