COMMISSIONERS BRIAN and ROSALIE PEDDLE

Brian Peddle and Rosalie (nee Rowe) were both born and raised in Newfoundland. Brian entered into Salvation Army officership as a cadet of the “Companion of Christ” Session (1975-77) and Rosalie as a cadet of the “Overcomers” Session (1974-76). Before they were married, Rosalie served as Corps Officer in Lethbridge and Deadman’s Bay, while Brian’s first appointment was at Hant’s Harbour Corps.

After their marriage in 1978, Brian and Rosalie served as Assistant Corps Officers at St. John’s Citadel from 1979 to 1981. They then served on staff at the College for Officers Training in St John’s from 1981 to 1983, then in Toronto from1983 until 1987. This was followed by three years as Divisional Youth Secretaries for Saskatchewan. The Peddles returned to corps work with a four-year appointment to Chatham, Ontario, then back to St. John’s Citadel for eight years. In 2000, they were appointed to the Ontario East Division as Secretary for Program and Secretary for Community Care.

In 2001 Brian and Rosalie were appointed as the Maritime Divisional Leaders, stationed in Halifax, before taking up their first overseas appointments in 2007 as Northern Divisional Leaders in the New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga Territory. In 2009 they were appointed to the U.K. Territory as Chief Secretary and Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries.

In July 2011, Commissioners Brian and Rosalie Peddle took up their appointments as Territorial Commander and Territorial President of Women’s Ministries for Canada and Bermuda.
