COMMISSIONERS FLOYD AND TRACEY TIDD

Commissioner Floyd J. Tidd was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, where he began his journey in Christian faith, and with The Salvation Army, as a child in Sunday school.

After high school, Floyd pursued a career in medicine, which resulted in a bachelor’s degree in science. In 1984, he and his wife, Tracey, entered the College for Officer Training in Toronto.

Throughout the years, the Tidds appointments have varied in scope from associate officers to church planters, divisional leaders, rural and city corps officers, as well as administrative assignments at the territorial level.

Commissioner Floyd has a master’s degree in theological studies from Toronto’s Tyndale Seminary and is a graduate of the Arrow Executive Leadership program.

In June 2013, the Tidds became territorial leaders of the Australia Southern Territory. On June 1, 2016, they were appointed as the foundational national leaders for Australia to oversee the amalgamation of the Australia Eastern and Australia Southern territories. On December 1, 2018, the Tidds were appointed as the inaugural territorial leaders of the Australia Territory.

On October 1, 2019, the Tidds took up appointments in the Canada and Bermuda Territory, with Commissioner Floyd J. Tidd as the Territorial Commander and Commissioner Tracey Tidd as the Territorial President of Women’s Ministries.
