What is Truth?   The world demands
Is there no answer in this day?
What is Truth?   From distant lands
Men long to know a better way!
What is Truth?   Can we deny
His love to those in pain and loss?
What is Truth?   We hear the cry
And share the gospel of the cross!

Guardians of the Truth, holding high His love,
Guardians of the Truth, enabled from above,
Guardians of the Truth go forth in Jesus' name!

The Truth will conquer darkness
Dispel the sin and fear,
The Truth will make men holy,
And dry the sinner's tear,
The Truth will open doorways
To freedom by His power,
The Truth will break the fetters
Of sin this very hour!

Thomas cries, "I cannot see beyond the gloom of fear and doubt!"
Mary weeps, "There is no hope, I cannot keep the tempter out!"

But Christ appears, a Risen Lord, and Thomas bows, his faith restored!
And Mary runs, her fear dispelled, to tell the truth about her Lord!

Our Christ is here, a Risen Lord, and so we bow, our faith restored!
And we rejoice, our fear dispelled, to tell the truth about our Lord!

Our Saviour came, nailed to a tree,
His truth lives on and sets men free!
