With joy[ul hearts we- greet this happy hour
When forth we go to serve our Lord and King,
Convinced that God will fill us with His pow'r
And help us to His feet the lost to bring.
TRUE SERVANTS OF THE LORD WE MEAN TO BE
TO SERVE MANKIND AND SET THIE CAPTIVE FREE!

We're proud today to bear that honoured name,
For Christ, although a King, was servant too,
He served the people and despised the shame,
With dignity Hi did the name endure.

There was a time when we were far away from Jesus
We were · too proud to serve the people here below;
We felt our own ambitions then were far too precious
To squander time and love on those who sank so low.
But Jesus filled our souls with love and peace
And now we long to serve, and never cease.

And never turn aside from our resolve
To follow in the Master's wondrous ways
And problems in His name to try to solve.
