Whilst evil stalks abroad the earth
Despoiling things of greatest worth
The lord hath need of me.
To toil without forbearing
To serve with zeal unsparing
To fight with holy daring
For this, I pledge my word
To humbly bear His sword.

Armour bearers of the Lord
We are pledged to defend His Cause;
Bearers of His shining sword
We contend to uphold His laws.
Token of His righteousness
Symbol of His Truth
Allegiance we will swear
And our vows declare
As trusted…. Bearers…. of His sword.

Whilst enmity 'twixt race and clan
Defer the Brotherhood of Man
The lord hath need of me.
By my unselfish giving
By trust and by forgiving
To show His plan for living
And with uplifted Sword
Declare the love of God.

Whilst men in darkness blindly move
Far from the light and from His love
The lord hath need of me.
His word of Truth forthtelling
The gloom of doubt dispelling,
And to the Light compelling
For this I bear the Sword
The true and Living Word.
