COLONEL LEE GRAVES

Colonel Lee Graves was born and raised in St. Thomas Ontario.  Lee entered the College for Officer Training in 1981 and was ordained and commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer in June of 1983.  His wife, Colonel Debbie Graves calls Hamilton Ontario home. After completing Training College in June 1984, they were married in her home Corps/Church of Mount Hamilton.

Together the Graves have served in various appointments across the Territory as Corps Officers which included Corps appointments at Paris Ontario, North Toronto (associate Corps Officers), Newmarket and Kitchener Community Church, Divisional Youth Ministries in Manitoba and Divisional Leadership in Alberta & Northern Territories and Eastern Ontario.  Lee completed an MBA from the University of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 2006 after receiving a Certificate of Business Administration from Lakeland College, Alberta in 2005.  Debbie has completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical & Theological Studies from Booth University College in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Prior to taking up his appointment as Chief Secretary in January 2017, Lee served as Territorial Secretary for Business Administration from July 2013 to December 2017, as Divisional Commander of the Ontario Great Lakes Division from 2009 –2013, as Area Commander for two years in the Ontario Central East Division – Eastern Region. Debbie is currently appointed as the Territorial Secretary for Women’s Ministries.  Her previous appointments include, Territorial Integrated Mission Secretary, Divisional Director of Women’s Ministries, Ontario Great Lakes Division, Executive Director at the Ottawa Bethany Hope Centre.
