Services and Fees
The Archives will provide personal use copies of documents, images and audio/video records. Requests must be initiated in writing through the Research Request Form OR for Genealogic Research. You will not be charged until you agree upon the time as per the estimate we provide, and the first half hour is free to allow us to determin the scope of your request. You must complete either form before we can determine if additional time is required. The Archives will respond to reasonable requests for research assistance, but must limit requests, which are not directly related to its mission and function. Reproduction requests are subject to copyright restrictions and are limited to no more than ten percent of a file entity. Staff research time will typically not exceed three hours.
External requests outside The Salvation Army’s governing bodies will incur charges for processing, handling and publication. A full schedule of Services and Fees covers processing fees, reproduction costs for documents, retrieval costs, and possibly Reading Room fees. If the research leads to requests for materials for publication, additional costs for Rights and Royalties may be assessed. Please consult both schedules carefully before submitting a request for documents.
