August 9  is the United Nations’ International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, a day to recognize and celebrate Indigenous Peoples everywhere and their right to sovereignty and self-determination. It also provides non-Indigenous people with a fresh opportunity to learn, grow and stand in solidarity with Indigenous neighbours and communities.  Here are a few ways to mark the day:
