Father God, we come before you as your humble people—helpless, really, in this time of crisis taking place in the world.

Even with all the uncertainty of what tomorrow may hold, for any of us, we trust you implicitly. Our faith is in you alone.

It’s a time, as we all “stay home” as instructed by our political and church leaders, to care for others by praying for them. By giving them a call, or sending them a message by email or text; just letting people know they are in our thoughts and prayers. It can mean so much!

Also, it’s a time given to us for more connection with You, Lord. Time to read from Your precious Word. Time to commune with You in prayer—for ourselves, our family, our good friends, our nation, our world.

Help us to use this time set aside wisely, Father. Not to grumble or complain; not even to wish this time away. But to actually think of it as a gift. To have time, finally, to do what’s really important! Quality time spent with those closest to us as we connect with them on a daily basis. Quality time to care for our well-being, and the well-being of those around us.

Father, we put our faith completely in You. We love you. Help us now to also love others even better than we ever have before. Thank you Jesus. Amen.
