Over the years the make up of the congregation began to change. More immigrant families moved into the area changing the overall demographic of the community. Additionally, Scarborough Citadel had enjoyed the membership of several THQ Officers, but as time moved on, many of those officers were transferred out, and their replacements choose other Corps to attend.
In 2012, the Corps reallocated space to make room for a satellite Family Services office as the Ontario Central East Division decentralized it Toronto family Services Operations to the local ministry units throughout the GTA.
