COMMISSIONERS Henry and Mrs. Hodder

Henry Hodder was born 1861 in Hampshire, England.

He entered training on April 15, 1882 out of Portsmith, England.

Service included many appointments in Great Britain as a Field and Divisional Officer, including London and Scotland. Included during that time was period in 1888 when the Major was appointed as Territorial Leader for Holland.

In August 1908, Colonel Hodder was appointed as leader of the Salvation Army in Japan. On account of health reasons, Commissioner Hodder was farewelled on July 1914 to London for rest.

In November 1914 Commissioner Hodder was appointed Territorial Commander of the New Zealand Territory. On September 16, 1922, he received his appointment to the Canada West Territory.

He married Catherine Fullerton in 1884 .
