1st Year Cadet - 1979 to 1983
In 1979, 1 new regulation came into existence stating that Cadets would no longer wear high collar uniforms during their two-year period of training. At the same time, the vertical trim of a cadet become obsolete and was replaced with a thin horizontal braid. The trim consists of one thin red braid horizontally on a black epaulet encircled by a black braid.
This new model of trim did not last long, for it became obsolete in 1983. God’s Soldiers were the first session to wear this trim and the Servants of God Session were the last.
