COMMISSIONERS LEE AND DEBBIE GRAVES

Commissioner Lee Graves was born and raised in St. Thomas Ontario.  He entered the College for Officer Training in 1981 and was ordained and commissioned as a Salvation Army Officer in June of 1983.  Commissioner Debbie calls Hamilton Ontario home. After completing Training College in June of 1984, they were married.

Together the Graves have served in various appointments across the Territory as Corps Officers in both Ontario Divisions, Divisional Youth Leaders in the Manitoba/ NW Ontario Division and at Divisional Headquarters in Alberta & Northern Territories and Lee at the Ontario Central East Division.  Lee completed an MBA from the University of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in 2006 after receiving a Certificate of Business Administration from Lakeland College, Alberta in 2005.  Debbie has completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical & Theological Studies, and a Certificate in Applied Leadership from Booth University College in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and has just completed a Certificate in Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care, also from Booth.

Prior to taking up his appointment as the International Secretary for Business Administration, Lee was the Chief Secretary in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland Territory and before that, held the same role in his home Territory of Canada and Bermuda. Other roles include Territorial Secretary for Business Administration, Divisional Commander of the Ontario Great Lakes Division from 2009 –2013, Area Commander for two years in the Ontario Central East Division – Eastern Region.

On September 1, 2023  the Graves took up appointments in the Canada and Bermuda Territory, with Commissioner Lee Graves as the Territorial Commander and Commissioner Debbie Graves as the Territorial President of Women’s Ministries.

Lee and Debbie have four children and 11 grandchildren.
