1. We would be like him our faithful intercessor
On bended knees before thy holy face we bow.
Come follow me", he called them one by one,
And I will make you fishers of men;
Give you love to reach out to them,"
Crying out to God to save them.

2. We would be like him our faithful intercessor;
On bended knees before thy holy face we bow.
"There will be one to come", the Master said,
"For I will never leave you orphaned
He will come to guide you in the light."

We testify to that great light;
From sin and blindness we have sight;
It was to save the world that Jesus came;
And by his grace we glorify his name

3. We would be like him our faithful intercessor;
On bended knees before thy holy face we bow.
Protect us by your word, your word is truth
The darkness shall not overtake us;
Sanctify us by your Spirit;
Set apart for sacred service.

4. We would be like him our faithful intercessor;
On bended knees before thy holy face we bow.
We pray for those entrusted to our care,
That we'd be faithful to our calling;
Guiding them to him who is the light.

We testify to that great light;

It was to save the world that Jesus came;
And by his grace we glorify his name

Give us a shepherd's heart, a love for souls,
A fervent spirit, 'tis our goal;
That we'd be faithful to the call of God.
