God has always chosen messengers
from every walk of life
To speak above the tumult
of selfishness and strife.
The prophets spoke of justice,
of holiness and faith;
The psalmists of a broken heart,
for God to recreate.
But we are now God's Messengers,
determined to prevail,
Entrusted with the Gospel,
We pray we shall not fail.

 

God has always chosen messengers
a highway to prepare,
That His truth might find a resting place
in people everywhere.
To John He gave the message
of One who was to come
To break the power of sin and death,
and make the world His own.
But we are now God's Messengers,
determined to prevail,
Entrusted with the Gospel,
We know we must not fail.

 

And still God chooses messengers
His glorious truth to share,
To breathe fresh hope to burdened souls
that languish in despair.
We claim His Holy Spirit
our spirits to inspire;
To speak His word with boldness
is all that we desire
For we are now God's Messengers,
determined to prevail,
Entrusted with the Gospel
We know we dare not fail.
