COLONEL HERBERT WALLACE
The Colonel became a cadet of the New Zealand territory, when his officer-parents were stationed there. He served as cadet sergeant and spent seven years following on the field in New Zealand and Australia.
Following, he became youth secretary in three divisions in and around Sydney. Next, he served as a divisional commander before being appointed Territorial Youth Secretary in the Australia Southern Territory where he remained for ten year. Following that, Herbert took another divisional appointment.
Back to New Zealand as Field Secretary was the Colonels next appointment before returning to Sydney as Chief Secretary of the Eastern Territory.
Mrs. Wallace is also a child of the regiment, her parents being Lieut.-Colonel and Mrs. W. Hoarse.
