International Youth Congress 2027
July 15-20, Jakarta
Young leaders from around the world will gather in Jakarta, Indonesia, for the 2027 International Youth Congress.
Inspired by the Compass focus on Empowering People, the congress will give 2,500 young adults aged 18 to 25 opportunity to worship together, explore God's calling and develop their leadership gifts.
The Canada and Bermuda Territory will have a total of 26 delegates.
The number of delegates for each territory was given by direction of IHQ.
ALL applications will be received and processed through CANBDA Youth.
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee you a spot.
Application Deadline: November 10, 2026, 11:59 PM ET
Application Requirements:
- Ages 18-25 (no exceptions) at the time of IYC 2027
- An active Salvationist involved in local leadership and mission
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to accept the IYC Code of Conduct (details included in the registration form)
- Corps Officer endorsement (to be obtained by DYS)
Expectations of Delegates:
- Engage in an online cohort (organized by CANBDA Youth) with delegates from the territory pre-Congress and post-Congress
- Expectation of engagement in corps ministries leading up to Congress
- Expectation that engagement in corps ministries continues for 12 months after IYC 2027.
Delegate's expenses:
- Registration fee ($280)
- Valid Passport (for 6 months beyond travel)
- Travel to the nearest (Canada/Bermuda) airport
- (Travel) Visa costs
- Medical & Travel insurance
Cost to Delegate's Corps: $500
Airfare cost will be covered by DHQ & THQ, and flights will be organized by CANBDA Youth.
