Message from the Territorial Commander
January 2025
To all Salvationists, friends and supporters of The Salvation Army's Partners in Mission Self-Denial Campaign,
Commissioner Debbie and I are delighted to send our warm personal greetings and best wishes for 2025 at the start of this new year. We are grateful to God for the opportunity to serve and lead in the Canada and Bermuda Territory, for your partnership in ministry, and for your ongoing support of the international work of The Salvation Army.
The world continues to face economic hardship, instability, and inequity, making the work of The Salvation Army in the 134 countries where we serve more important than ever. The challenges are immense, but so is the impact we can have together through our collective support of the Partners in Mission Self-Denial Campaign 2025. Based on Romans 12:11, “Let Your Fire Keep Burning” is the theme chosen for this year’s appeal.
Our territorial goal for 2025 is $2.4 million. Your donation will help us live out the words recorded in Romans 12:11: “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord.” Every contribution, no matter the size, represents an act of generosity, kindness, and love to those who desperately need our mission support.
These funds support The Salvation Army’s operations, enabling us to be present in local communities to share the love of Jesus. This year, our focus territory is Indonesia, part of the South Pacific and East Asia Zone. By supporting the Partners in Mission Self-Denial Campaign 2025, you will directly impact the lives of those in Indonesia and beyond who are served by The Salvation Army. Your generosity will help bring hope, relief, and the message of Christ to those in need.
We invite you to once again partner in the global mission of The Salvation Army. Together, let’s embrace “Let Your Fire Keep Burning” and ignite a blaze of kindness and support. Please visit salvationist.ca/PIM for more information.
May God continue to richly bless you and encourage you as you serve Him.
With every best wish,
Commissioner Lee Graves
Territorial Commander
