COLONEL CLEMENT JACOBS

Clement Jacobs was commissioned a Salvation Army Officer on March 8, 1883 with the rank of Lieutenant proceeded to Glasgow III Corps. Then came Elgin, Lassdemouth, Montrose, Peterhead, Mcduff and Aberdeen III Corps.

On January 1, 1886 Staff Captain Jacobs was appointed in charge of the Wick District. Then came the Dundee and Edinburgh Divisions.

He left Scotland for Canada on November 7, 1889 where he was in charge of the Eastern Division with the rank of Brigadier and then Newfoundland.

On June 11, 1896 he was appointed Chief Secretary for the Canada Territory with the rank of Colonel.
