MEET THE TEAM
College for Officer Training staff are responsible for implementing and integrating CFOT’s strategy, vision and policies to achieve desired training outcomes. We are a group of deeply committed Christians who share a passion for training and educating cadets, auxiliary-lieutenants, auxiliary-captains and officers. CFOT staff help people respond to their call to ministry and service, succeed in training and achieve their goals as they share hope, spread the love of Jesus and help transform lives.
Major Deana Zelinsky, BA, MA
A Salvation Army officer for 23 years, currently serving as Training Principal, giving oversight to Candidates, CFOT training and the officer training 8-Year Plan.
Lieut.-Colonel Shona Pike
A Salvation Army officer for 33 years, currently serving as the Assistant Training Principal.
Captain Chad Cole, BA
A Salvation Army officer for 8 years, currently serving as the Mission & Ministry Formation Coordinator.
Captain Lisa Cole, Business Diploma
A Salvation Army officer for 8 years currently serving as the Personnel & Spiritual Formation Coordinator.
Dr. Michael Boyce, BA (Hons), MA, PhD
Has served with The Salvation Army for over 20 years in education, currently serving as Director of Program Implementation for the new 8-Year Plan training model.
Joy Ball
A lifelong Salvationist, currently serving as Executive Assistant to the Training College Principal and Assistant Training Principal.
Viktoriia Smahytel
Has worked with The Salvation Army since 2023 and currently serves as a CFOT Administrative Coordinator.
Carson Decker
A Salvation Army officer for 26 years, currently serving as Territorial Candidates Secretary.
Shona Burditt
A lifelong Salvationist, currently serving as the Candidates Project Coordinator.
Janah Vitalicio
Has worked at The Salvation Army since 2021 and currently serves as Administrative Coordinator for Candidates and Youth Departments.
