Newly appointed Chair to the Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board, as a Member I was asked to bring my experience in gender equity to the Task Force.

I have been committed to equity and diversity in my many roles in government, in my consulting practice and as a volunteer. In the 90s, I led the diversity, equity and inclusion portfolio in the Ontario government, gaining hands-on experience in implementing the government’s equity policy and driving to outcomes. Gender equity is fundamental to the attraction, retention and development of women officers in The Salvation Army. It is about belonging and feeling valued.
