CORPS OFFICERS/WORKERS
Position: Corps Officers
Location: Various corps in Norway, Iceland and the Faeroe Islands
Special Requirements: Knowledge of Norwegian, Icelandic (for Iceland) or other Scandinavian language. The Norwegian government requires that applicants from outside the EU/EEA have a relevant degree at master's level.

Special Requirements: Confident leaders willing to learn German, for planting new ministries or in established ministries. We are interested in exploring an exchange of corps officers for 1-2 terms. Some knowledge of German is required.

Position: Assistant Corps Officers
Location: Taiwan Region
Special Requirements: Officers, experience in working with children and youth, keen for discipleship training. Fluent in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin), Taiwanese-speaking is an advantage. Suitable for a family with children. The corps is a small and old corps. However, the neighbourhood is not an aging one. New officers may see different opportunities in the city. The current corps officers will be retiring in 2026, the appointment is preferably to be filled in early 2025 so there is enough time for settling in and handover.

Position: Youth Mission Director
Location: New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa
Special Requirements: This position is part the National Youth Team who aim to develop and support youth discipleship within faith communities, ensuring that there is a growing and strong commitment to the discipleship of our young people, and to intentionally invest in the development of youth leaders. Based in Christchurch, this role would have particular responsibilities for the corps and community youth ministries operating in the South Island. This position would suit someone with proven experience in youth ministry and a passion for developing leaders. Officer or lay person (suitable for someone with a family). Three year term.

Location: Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand
Special Requirements: An officer required for a small vibrant corps in Malaysia. English speaking with the ability to lead, preach and manage the business side of the corps in English. This appointment could suit a married couple and they would both be corps officers with an emphasis on Corps growth and development. The officers would be required to lead the corps with limited oversight so experience of this would be an advantage and proven initiative and passion. From 1st May 2025.Not suitable for a couple with children due to immigration issues.

Officers should be willing to adapt to a new culture and possible inner-city community. Needed by July 2025.

FINANCIAL AND BUSINESS
Position: Internal Auditor
Location: Angola
Special Requirements: Command Internal Auditor; Single or married officer who understands TSA finance system and has practical skills in accountancy. Portuguese or Spanish language - may be learned during service.

Position: Business and Program Officer
Location: Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand
Special Requirements: An officer based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 1st May 2025 to be the Program and Business Director Officer at the Regional Office. English speaking and able to lead, preach and do business in English. Preference for a married couple with one spouse to undertake business for the region and the other to oversee program. Will involve travel throughout the region therefore not suitable for a couple with children. Also immigration issues would be a barrier to children.

NURSING/MEDICAL
Position: Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist
Location: Ghana
Special Requirements: Begoro Rehabilitation Centre. The person should have experience working with children, especially children with cerebral palsy, and be able to work alongside the local therapists and train them in current techniques used abroad for the benefit of children.

EDUCATION AND SCHOOLING
Position: Principal for Community Health Workers' Training School
Location: Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands
Special Requirements: An officer or lay person. English speaking. Suitable for a married couple but not with young children. If married the spouse would be employed in an administrative or chaplaincy position at the college. Bachelor of Nursing and experience in nursing education needed. The nursing school is in a rural highlands town. The school trains community health workers who are essential for health provision across PNG. Major changes to the curriculum are in progress and the school has large potential for growth and expansion. Housing onsite in a secure compound which also houses a conference centre, a medical clinic and a centre for surviviors of GBV. There are two other Salvation Army compounds in the town and these centres all work closely together in the area.
