Salvationists and friends of the Spain Command were inspired and encouraged by the visit of General Shaw Clifton and Commissioner Helen Clifton. Also present for the special weekend were the youth band and chorus of Greater New York Division, USA Eastern Territory, accompanied by divisional leaders Lieut-Colonels Guy and Henrrietta Klemanski.

Around 400 Salvationists from across Spain took part in the welcome meeting. The entrance of every corps flag was enjoyed by the congregation before a group from Barcelona, in typical Spanish dress, gave a warm welcome to the General, Commissioner Clifton and all the guests. The visiting band and chorus brought blessing through their contributions

The General's Bible message was inspired by God and touched the hearts of many people.

Women's and men's rallies took place on Saturday morning, with Commissioner Clifton and the General giving the respective Bible messages.

During the Saturday afternoon youth rally the General spoke about life in the Spirit. The young people responded well to his message. The congregation enjoyed the participation of soldiers from various corps as well as items by the visiting sections from the United States.

At the Salvationist Festival on Saturday evening the congregation enjoyed a variety of items. After the General shared God's Word several people went forward to the mercy seat.

In the Sunday holiness and salvation meetings the Holy Spirit was working among his people. Many times the mercy seat was lined with people looking for the grace of God. When Officer Commanding Lieut-Colonel Luis Castillo made a call to serve God through officership, 18 people responded publicly.

The grand finale saw the the Greater New York Divisional Youth Band, the Spain National Band and the National Timbrel Brigade join with the congregation for 'I'll Go in the Strength of the Lord' while the flags of every corps were marched around the hall with great enthusiasm.
