The new Corner Brook Community Church unites two congregations.

 Two long-standing Salvation Army corps in Newfoundland and Labrador, Corner Brook Temple and Corner Brook Citadel, have officially merged to form the newly established Corner Brook Community Church. In February, both congregations came together for their first service.

7. Explore Your Call 2025 Inspires Transformation
Weekend of learning, worship and discernment empowers delegates to hear God’s call.

In October, 64 delegates from across the territory participated in the annual Explore Your Call weekend. The three-day event gave them a chance to explore full-time vocational ministry within the Army and what it might mean to answer God's call. 

6. Island Hoppers
A trip to Bermuda enabled four candidates from Newfoundland and Labrador to experience hands-on ministry and share their calling to full-time ministry.

The candidates spent six days serving in shelters, food banks and local corps. Through outreach and worship, they explored their own calling to serve as officers within The Salvation Army and be the hands and feet of God.

Grace Kelly is no ordinary teenager. Crowned Miss Achievement Newfoundland in 2024, Kelly is also a proud Salvationist dedicated to her faith, family and community.

4. Honouring the White Buffalo
Family and faith defined Jordan Brown-Ratcliffe’s life. Now an Indigenous memorial fund carries his legacy.

Adopted by Salvation Army officers, Jordan Brown-Ratcliffe grew up in a loving and faith-filled home where he was encouraged to explore his Indigenous roots. After his tragic passing in 2019, a memorial fund was established to help other Indigenous youth attend the Celebration of Culture. 

3. Second Chances
Aux-Lieutenants Dianne and Eli Drodge thought the doors to Army ministry were closed forever. But almost 25 years later, God had other plans.

Though they stepped away from officership, God's call never left the Drodges. And this past August, he brought them back to full-time ministry once again.
