The International Salvation Army and Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Response Work

Key Points

1. Today there are 50 million men, women, and children worldwide impacted by MSHT. While this is devastating, we celebrate and acknowledge The Salvation Army’s unique position in responding to MSHT since its beginning in 1865.

2. We follow our international values and principles as guidelines to how we do and embody our response work around the word:
L
oving and compassionate, survivor - centered, coordinated and integration, learning together, locally led and inclusive.

3. Our freedom action framework acts as our 8 global response areas to response holistically as a global organization: prayer, prevention , protection, participation, prosecution, partnership, policy and proof.
