Colonel Glen Shepherd, Chair of the Booth University College Board of Trustees, has announced that Dr. Donald E. Burke has indicated his desire to relinquish his responsibilities as President of the institution, effective June 30, 2016.
Dr. Burke has been a member of the faculty of Booth University College since it opened in 1982. He has served in a number of leadership roles including Vice President and Academic Dean (2000-2006), Interim President (July 2006 – March 2007) and President (April 2007 – present).
Upon completion of a sabbatical leave, Dr. Burke plans to return to his faculty responsibilities at Booth University College.
The Board of Trustees has established a Presidential Search Committee which will be chaired by Brig.-General (Retired) Linda J. Colwell. The search for a new President will commence immediately.
