The Salvation Army gives hope and support to vulnerable people in 400 communities across Canada and Bermuda.

The typical Salvation Army Community Services provides crisis response to address: hunger relief for individuals and families through food banks and feeding programs; with additional supports including clothing and household goods, as well as our seasonal supports like Christmas toys and food.

Community Service ministries also provide programming to create more meaningful social connections: after-school & drop-in programs, cooking and gardening classes, budgeting supports, and income tax clinics. Camps and school nutrition programs for children and youth.

Part of the Salvation Army mission is to "be a transformative influence in the communities of our world" and so there is a priority to provide safe space for people to gather and build healthy relationships and positive change: life-skills classes, and anger management, recovery programs and Pathway of Hope - working one on one to reduce barriers and set life goals.

Our holistic support programs vary across the country as they meet the specific challenges in that particular community or city. Please contact your local Salvation Army Community Services location for more information about the specific supports they offer.
