Unceasing Prayer

Praise
One of our praise reports would be that of Messy Church. We are now in our third year of this outreach and we continue to see results of God's love and grace in our people. Even as recently as this past Christmas while carolling at the hospital, we met a woman and her little one who have been attending Messy Church as they visited a very sick uncle. When she saw us, she asked if we could pray for her uncle and the family as they had no church connection other than Messy Church. What a privilege.
Petition
Our petition would be for our leaders. There is a real need for leadership in both the senior and young people’s corps. Wisdom and discernment is definitely needed. As corps officers who are preparing for retirement in June, our prayer is for the ones following us, that they will come in with open hearts and minds and recognize the difficult decisions that have to be made in leadership, but also see all that has been done in the past, knowing God is preparing for the future.
Intercession
The prayer request for the wider community is that we would be open to meeting the needs of people in the corps and those we meet through family services and our thrift store. If we need to find different ways of doing things, than we want to be open to that. More than anything we want to be the hands of Christ in everything we do. For example, the homeless situation in Peterborough has become a real concern. We know we need to be a part of a working solution but how, when, where, what do we do? Please pray for direction.
