L'Abri d'espoir is a women's shelter that has been serving women who have experienced violence, including sexual exploitation, for 30 years.
Discover our flexible 1.5 hour workshops specifically designed to prevent and raise awareness of violence and sexual exploitation among teens and the adults around them. Our goal is to increase awareness of the prevalence and challenges of violence and exploitation in Quebec while providing essential resources to empower individuals and communities in the region.
Let’s Talk About It - Youth Workshops
Workshops are meant to:
Enlighten – Inform high school aged youth (ages 12-17) about issues related to sexual exploitation and violence in relationships.
Equip – Equip teenagers with the skills to recognize the signs, protect themselves and raise awareness among those around them.
Empower – Cultivating authentic and dynamic discussions to empower and combat sexual exploitation and domestic violence in Quebec.
Ideal for schools, sports organizations and youth groups, each interactive workshop adapts to age and culture while providing constructive activities, videos, games, stories, role-playing and active learning periods.
Let’s Talk About It - Adult Workshop
Tailored for parents, coaches and leaders, these workshops foster constructive discussions on how these individuals can create positive and safe spaces for teens who find themselves in difficult situations. Adult workshops promote knowledge sharing with interactive dialogue on practical measures and facts.
All workshops take a survivor centered approach while adapting to the number of participants, their experiences, their environment, and their needs.
