Emerging Leaders

If you are new to a leadership role in the Army or are just curious about developing leadership capabilities, you’re not alone! Our Emerging Leaders groups are built for officers and employees from across the Territory who are embarking on leadership journeys just like you.

The Army sees leadership as attitudes and capabilities that can be developed through quality education and in-depth discussions; our Emerging Leaders cohorts offer these opportunities. We’ve designed them to build a network of the Army’s up-and-coming leaders and foster a culture of connection.

The cohorts are split between officers and employees, allowing you to learn alongside your peers and engage in discussions relevant to your work. Participants get to discuss what it means to fully participate in their assigned work at the individual and communal levels and inspire their peers to do the same. Impactful leadership is all about building relationships, which makes peer discussions a key aspect of the leadership development process.

Cohort discussions will cover some of the following topics and more:

  • Goal Setting
  • Time Management
  • Team Building
  • Managing Change
  • Personal Development Planning
    Monthly online meetings

Cohorts run for two years through online meetings scheduled every month.

Monthly meetings culminate here with an in-person gathering where participants can network and connect fellow Emerging Leaders.
