DEPARTMENTS
INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Salvation Army’s International Development Office has been involved in emergency and development projects for over sixty years. As we work alongside colleagues in the Global South, we strive to fund projects that are holistic in nature, responding to a variety of needs within unique communities as we work toward sustainable growth and development.
Learning Pathways will be utilized as a community engagement training resource for participants of the Ambassador Program. Learning Pathways will help mobilize young people for international and local mission work and guide them in leadership development and discipleship.
Through a learning cohort formed in your corps, youth, or women’s group, you will journey with fellow students and explore ways in which you can make more meaningful connections in your community, through work, school, clubs or neighbours. Reflecting on your own personal beliefs and priorities will help you better understand your skills, talents, and passions.
Students will complete all 12 sessions of both Community Engagement and Personal Development through registering for the online e-learning or by filling in the supplied workbook and keeping track of personal reflections and practical applications.
