Kenya, officially the Republic of Kenya, is a country in East Africa.  Its capital and largest Beaded reindeer from Kenyacity is Nairobi.  Kenya has a population of about 44 million people

Nairobi is a regional and a commercial hub.  Agriculture is a major employer.  The country traditionally exports tea, and coffee and has more recently began exporting fresh flowers to Europe.

Although Kenya is the highest and most advanced economy in East and Central Africa with an affluent urban minority, Kenya is still struggling.  It is estimated that 17.7 percent of Kenyans live on less than $ 1.25(U.S) a day.

Child labor is common in Kenya.  Most working children are active in agriculture.  The staple food for the majority of Kenyans is corn (Ugali),   ground and pounded into various forms.  In 1896, three Salvationist went to Kenya to help build a new railway.  They started their witness in the railway camps.  The first official meetings took place in Nairobi in 1921.

There are five Others Production groups in Kenya:  Makadara, Embu, Kasikeu, Kilome and Dandora with more than 300 women directly involved in the production of Others products.  Many products are made from recycled material such a plastic and paper.

Others has given disadvantaged people hope opportunities and the means to achieve their own independent development.  Many homes are happy because of Others.
