A letter from Commissioners Floyd and Tracey Tidd, territorial leaders:

We greet you as partners in the 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture at this halfway point in the journey. We are grateful for your commitment to pray for the Canada and Bermuda Territory as you join hundreds of others in seeking God’s blessing on representative expressions of Salvation Army ministry. Together we are reading and reflecting upon passages of Scripture that are carrying us across the pages of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, as we capture a glimpse of the grand plan and work of God.

This journey of united prayer and shared Scripture is opening hearts and minds to hear God speak to his Salvation Army for the present day and the future. We thank you for your commitment and openness to what God has to say.

If you’ve missed a day or two along the way, don’t give up. Start afresh and invite others to join you. It’s never too late! We encourage you to keep a journal to capture your reflections on what you are learning, as well as what God is saying to you.

As we enter the second half of the 100 Days of Unceasing Prayer and Shared Scripture, we want to share with you some of the ways people have been participating so far:

  • Small groups have taken time in their Bible studies to reflect on the readings and pray for the ministry expressions highlighted since their previous meeting.
  • Individuals have connected with one or two others once a week to share their 100 Days experience.
  • People added this opportunity to their regular devotions and have grown in their appreciation of what God is doing through The Salvation Army.

As we approach the last weeks of the 100 Days experience, we will invite you to participate in an online survey (with hard copy options available) to share with us what you are discovering, what God is revealing to you. We will capture the key themes arising from the submissions and share them with the territory as together we listen and respond to God, following his lead for this next chapter in the life and ministry of The Salvation Army Canada and Bermuda Territory.

We count it a privilege to be partners in the gospel (see Philippians 1:3-5) for such a time as this. May God bless you, the Canada and Bermuda Territory, and the nations of Canada and Bermuda through The Salvation Army.

Yours in Christ,

Floyd and Tracey Tidd, Commissioners
Territorial Leaders
Canada and Bermuda
