I discovered that all during its history, World Revival was mentioned in different ways -- at the beginning, General Booth wrote the song "O Boundless Salvation," which included the phrase "the whole world redeeming," and in the Salvation Army song book, printed in 1953, there was a group of songs -- 21 in all -- under the heading "The World for God."
A few years ago, while I was in Paul Oram's Seniors' Home, in Glovertown, Newfoundland, I had a vision -- a large white flower resembling a daisy, with black letters formed on its petals -- "World Revival." I stood spellbound as I kept watching it, but my mind could not seem to grasp such a monumental event.
I then returned to my hometown in Clarenville, Newfoundland, sometime later, and found myself still praying for its happening, and the idea was never far from my mind!
I began to wonder if there will really be a revival or is it just a figment of my imagination? I got tired of wavering between these two possibilities, so I asked the Lord for a definite answer. Only ten minutes later there was a man on TV wearing a black T-shirt. Then letters in white seemed to roll across his chest, clear and plain, "it is time to save the world!"
When the March 2014 issue of Salvationist magazine arrived, it had on the outside of its back cover, "Boundless" -- a full page announcement of this international world congress, July 1-5, 2015 in London, England. I was ecstatic because I could see the congress and revival coming together to bring honour, glory and praise to the Lord with thousands of souls being saved!
